If you’re new to bullet journaling and you need to back up a bit to find out what it’s all about,
visit my post Why Bullet Journal?
In it I concisely explain the concept and provide tons of links to more inspiration!
Short and sweet: an index page is how I navigate through all the awesome pages I’ve made. Here’s a peek at mine when I first started:
Looking back, I wish I would have made this a little more cutesy and a little more user friendly. As it stands, I pretty much used Ryder Carroll’s original index page set up, which really works fine… but everything feels so cramped. The space definitely could have been used better! Let’s see what inspiration I found for my future index pages…
Now for the round up…
Bohoberry remains one of my go-to inspirations for my Bujo. She doesn’t fail me here with this genius idea of adding a color system (in addition to the simplistic index) for quick referencing.
Mandi’s index at Most of the Mist lists the pages first and although I do not think I’ll be doing that, I do like the idea of bolding the months as you go.
This index (which I cannot find where the credit should go) takes Mandi’s idea a step further by making the months extra large and only writing the pages that are most noteworthy for returning to in the future. I really love this idea – because my index is getting crowded!
This index page from Buzzfeed is just cute! I definitely need some more cutesy inspiration for my Bujo!
